May 14, Bob Van Hook, Guest Speaker, will speak on Mothers

Bob Van Hook, will focus on mothers as he speaks to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hot Springs 10:30am , Sunday, May 14th.  The service will feature music provided by Rebecca McCormick on the cello and Diane Kesling Silberstein on the violin.

Mezzo-soprano Diane Kesling Silberstein’s career has included distinguished engagements with a number of the world’s leading opera houses: Metropolitan Opera, Houston Opera, La Scala, Seattle Opera, l’Opera de Nice, and the Opera Company of Philadelphia, as well as solo engagements with the Boston Symphony and the Pittsburgh Symphony.

Rebecca McCormick is a multi-platform journalist who specializes in global luxury travel with an emphasis on arts and culture, soft adventure, technology and social media, author of more than 1,000 published articles. Rebecca’s luxury adventures include cello playing in a 12th century French cathedral. When not on the road, Rebecca manages Hot Springs Four Seasons String Quartet, the group with whom she plays cello for weddings and special events.

Robert “Bob” VanHook earned a Master of Divinity Degree

from Duke University.  He served as a Methodist minister from 1962 until 1979, working in churches in North Carolina and Arkansas.  He has served as a delegate to the Seventh Constitutional Convention of Arkansas.
