Mar 12, Akau Anyieth, Guest Speaker, Title of service “Man Without a Country”

Join us at 10:30 am on Sunday where our guest speaker will be Mr. Akau Anyieth, a local high school Biology and Physical Science teacher.  He will speak about his experiences as a Sudanese immigrant to the United States. He will share the story of his journey to America including poems that reflect on his childhood experiences in Sudan and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Anyieth has over 13 years of experience with the United States immigration system. He will describe the confusing, uncertain, and expensive process of legal immigration, as well as, the challenges faced by both documented and undocumented immigrants in the United States today.

At 9:00 am join the Wisdom Seekers as they discuss What Money Can’t Buy by Michael J. Sandel.

At 10:00 am we will have Coffee/Tea and light snacks.
