This Sunday member Jesse Davis, will be our speaker at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hot Springs, 100 Norwalk St.  Jesse said, “The title of my talk will be “Trust or Mistrust – You Decide.”  It will focus on the need of every citizen to think scientifically and decide for his or her selves what is true.  After reviewing excerpts from a recent commencement address, the congregation will brainstorm ways to determine if someone may be pulling the wool over their eyes.”  Jesse plans this to be an interactive service with a Q and A following his talk.

Rebecca Ricks will be at the piano.

Geary Hufstedler, will lead the Religious Exploration class at 9:00am.  He will have an article of interest from the UU World magazine.  These discussions are unique, as the topic is “leader’s choice,” and the follow-on sharing of opinions and ideas can be quite interesting.

Following the class, we meet at 10:00am for refreshments and socializing.

The service is at 10:30am, and we do have a class for the children, so that families can all benefit from the experience of church at UUCHS!  We sure hope to see you this Sunday for any or all of the activities we have planned.
