Intrigued by the history and ideals of Transcendentalism, Barbara Thexton chose to explore the subject with her fellow church members and guests on Sunday, August 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Unitarian Church of Hot Springs, 100 Norwalk. Research has shown that this nineteenth century literary, philosophical movement is even more complex and captivating than imagined. Transcendentalism greatly influenced early Unitarianism in America. Rebecca Ricks will be at piano.

A retired corporate interior designer, she is currently chair of the Garland County Democratic Committee.
