The Unitarian Universalist Church of Hot Springs will acknowledge Women’s History Month Sunday, March 22, by presenting a readers’ theater,”From Stanton to Steinem and Beyond”. This original work was begun in 1978-9 by a group of American Association of University Women in Colorado Springs. Ann Hair, leader of the original group, updated the work and is presenting it with the help of other women from the UU Church in Hot Springs, the UU Church in Hot Springs Village and the Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Branch of AAUW. The women hope to convey what has led to the fight for women’s rights in every sector of our society, how old the struggle is, the social context which makes the struggle necessary, and finally, what women might have to offer as alternatives in an uncertain future. The service is at 10:30am.
The Wisdom Seekers meet from 9-10am, and will continue discussion of the book, “Subliminal..How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior”, by Leonard Mlodinow. Coffee, tea and refreshments are served 10-10:30am. We hope you will join us for this very special service.
