Dec 28, Linda Puckett, Member, will lead “The Burning Bowl Ceremony”.

Our church is delighted to welcome member Linda Puckett, to lead our annual end of year ceremony.

The Burning Bowl Ceremony involves a “transformative” ritual in which participants have an opportunity to let go of fears, traumas, negative emotions and anything they are “carrying around” that does not serve their best interest or the greatest good. The ritual is also used to release to the Universe participants’ desires for improving their lives. A simple ritual, the burning bowl requires only personal focus and concentration on what is desired to be released. Participants write their desires on scraps of paper then place the papers into a bowl with a flame inside. As the smoke rises, cares and concerns, dreams and desires symbolically rise up and are released.

Linda PuckettLinda Puckett inadvertently became a student of metaphysics nearly 20 years ago while living in California. She began by reading inspirational books, then continued with Science of Mind training and energy studies which, throughout the years, have evolved into continual spiritual growth studies and skills trainings. In addition to being a Certified Life Cycle Celebrant, Linda is certified as a Laughter Yoga Leader, Faster EFT Healer, Oneness Blesser, Raindrop Therapist; incorporates prayer, meditation, energy medicine exercises and a yoga practice into her daily life; and is a proud member of both the Unity Spiritual Life Center in Oklahoma City and UUCHS in Hot Springs. One of her most recent passions is bringing greater enlightenment regarding alternative forms of healing whenever an opportunity presents itself.

The service is at 10:30am, preceded by the Wisdom Seekers, discussing poetry of Mary Oliver, in “Blue Horses” at 9:00am. Refreshments and “meet and greet” at 10:00am. We sure hope to see you this Sunday!
