Cinco de Mayo, May 4th Sunday Program, speaker: Luis Osequera

Sunday, May 4th, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hot Springs will host a service presented by Jane Hufstedler and speaker, Luis Oseguera.

Oseguera will speak about the significance of the celebration of Cinco de Mayo. The date commemorates the May 5th, 1862 battle at Puebla, Mexico. The defeat of the French ended the potential threat of French interaction in the United States Civil War.

Oseguera a native of Cotija, Michoacan, Mexico and now a United State citizen divides his time between Hot Springs and Dallas. He is a highly successful restaurateur, with La Hacienda in Hot Springs as the starting point for restaurants in many other cities.
