Listening from the Heart

“Love” is the doctrine of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hot Springs, and Love is the theme of the month of February. On Sunday, Feb. 16 at 10:30 a.m. Denise Marion and members of the Hot Springs Compassionate Communication Circle will lead a program focused on the heart for Valentine’s Day, “Listening from the Heart.”

When misunderstandings occur between people, we often say, “We need to talk.” Sometimes, though, what is needed is not more talking but deeper listening, hearing with empathy, without judgment: listening from the heart. On Sunday, February 16, at 10:30 a.m. join Denise Marion and members of the Hot Springs Compassionate Communication Circle as they lead an interactive program of empathetic listening at the UU Church of Hot Springs.

Guest musician will be Kenneth Tillery. Ken plays acoustic finger-style guitar, blues mixed with folk, and personal interpretation. He can be heard playing for tips at the Park Island Café nearly every weekday at lunch time.
